“BravoCon Moment” - 2022 NBCUniversal UpFront

During the 2022 UpFront — the first in-person UpFront in three years — NBCU wanted to make a BIG splash and take full advantage of Radio City Music Hall, where an audience of 6,000 gathered to hear about the company’s latest offerings.

Our team was tasked with conceiving of a moment that conveyed “what BravoCon FEELS like for Bravoholics to an audience that might not be as familiar with the Bravo universe.” We did just that.

The “BravoCon Moment” began with a pre-recorded video of a Bravo-loving couple racing for their phones in an attempt to win a free BravoCon pass. They bonk heads…then — LIVE — wake up on-stage at Radio City in a choreographed fever dream filled with Bravolebrities from the network’s biggest shows.

In addition to receiving coverage in publications including Deadline, AdWeek, and AdAge, our big UpFront spectacular contributed to a 400% increase in revenue across NBCUniversal’s One Platform versus the last BravoCon (which took place in 2019). The event also saw a 300% increase in the number of sponsors and added 11 new advertiser categories.

Comic Remarks

Since joining the NBCU Ad Sales Creative Group, I’ve drafted remarks for live events like One22 and Comcast’s “Converge” conference. I wrote Ana Gasteyer’s opening remarks for One22, Laverne Cox’s remarks for the 2022 Upfront’s pre-show, and wrote the initial drafts of both Kenan Thompson and Seth Meyers’ remarks for “Converge.” (Full disclosure: They then handed those remarks to the teams at SNL & Late Night who did a good amount of re-writing, BUT a number of my jokes survived, including two delivered by Seth that were later quoted in Deadline).
